How We Help

A thoughtful plan, built around the person you love

Care Compass begins by listening. We learn about your loved one’s daily routines, preferences, care requirements, location priorities, and budget. From there, we identify independent-living, assisted-living, or memory-care communities that fit those needs and explain the differences in plain language.

Your advisor helps schedule and accompany community tours, compare rates and care plans, and ask the questions that are easy to miss when your family is under pressure. When you choose a community, we can coordinate moving services, move-in details, and transportation.

Our support continues after the move. We follow up and advocate as your loved one settles in, coordinating with families and community teams around medical services, nutrition, and medication schedules. Care Compass does not provide medical care or medical advice; this work is coordination and advocacy.

We can also connect eligible families with information about veterans’ benefits and introduce local legal, financial, and housing resources. Those professionals provide their own advice.

Senior Placement FAQs

What to expect from placement guidance

Answers about living options, tours, coordination, costs, and ongoing support.

What is the difference between independent living, assisted living, and memory care?

Independent living is generally designed for older adults who want a maintenance-free community and social opportunities without regular personal-care support. Assisted living adds help with daily activities and care coordination. Memory care provides a more structured environment and specialized support for people living with dementia or related cognitive changes.

How do you assess care needs, preferences, and budget?

Your advisor asks about daily routines, mobility, medication support, nutrition, cognitive needs, social preferences, preferred location, family priorities, and budget. We use that conversation to narrow the search; we do not diagnose conditions or provide medical advice.

How are communities recommended?

Recommendations are based on the needs and priorities discussed with your family, along with current knowledge of local communities. We explain why each option may fit and help you compare the practical differences without guaranteeing availability or a particular outcome.

Will an advisor come with us on community tours?

Yes. Care Compass can arrange and accompany community tours. Your advisor helps you prepare questions, notice important details, and compare what each community offers after the visits.

Can Care Compass help negotiate rates or care plans?

We can help families discuss rates, fees, and care-plan details with participating communities and advocate for clear information. We cannot guarantee a particular rate, discount, care plan, or financial outcome.

What move-in and transportation support is available?

Care Compass can coordinate moving services, move-in details, and transportation related to the transition. We help the family and community stay aligned so fewer details fall through the cracks.

What happens after move-in?

We follow up with the family and community and continue advocating as your loved one settles in. That may include coordination around medical services, nutrition, and medication schedules, plus connections to veterans’ benefits and local legal, financial, or housing professionals. Care Compass does not provide medical, legal, or financial advice.

What does a senior placement advisor do?

A senior placement advisor helps your family understand senior living options, assess needs and priorities, identify appropriate communities, arrange and accompany tours, compare care plans and costs, and coordinate the transition. Care Compass stays involved through move-in and follows up afterward.

Who does Care Compass help?

We help older adults and their families who are considering independent living, assisted living, or memory care. Adult children often contact us when a parent’s needs are changing and the family wants a knowledgeable local guide.

How does the process begin?

It starts with a free consultation. We listen to what has changed, learn about your loved one’s routines, preferences, care requirements, location priorities, and budget, and explain the next practical steps.

How is Care Compass compensated?

Participating senior living communities compensate Care Compass when a family we assist chooses to move in. That allows our placement guidance to remain free to seniors and families.

Does your service cost my family anything?

No. Senior placement guidance from Care Compass is free to seniors and families. We will explain how the service is compensated and answer any questions before you move forward.

What areas do you serve?

Care Compass serves families throughout Sarasota, Manatee, and Charlotte Counties, including Sarasota, Venice, North Port, Bradenton, Lakewood Ranch, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and surrounding communities.

Can I contact Care Compass outside normal business hours?

Yes. Contact us anytime. We’ll respond as soon as possible. We do not promise an immediate response or a guaranteed placement timeline.

“I wish I could give more than five stars. The experience we had for the relocation of my dad to his new place, the move out and clean out of his home and the referrals to teams of people who can help us as we transitioned to the next phase has been beyond any expectation. This was the best experience with the best outcomes.”
